Metro Laundry Service Welcomes Congressman Glenn Ivey and TRSA for a Plant Tour

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Oct. 22, 2026 — Metro Laundry Service welcomed Congressman Glenn Ivey and TRSA representatives Joseph Ricci, President & CEO; Kevin Schwalb, Vice President of Government Relations; and Jack Morgan, Senior Editor of TRSA publications, for a behind-the-scenes tour of its commercial laundry facility and a conversation about the company’s operations and plans for growth.

Founder Bernard Young, his wife Jolette Young, Financial Administrator, and COO, Steven Young led guests through “The Metro Process,” highlighting the people, technology and quality controls that help Metro Laundry serve luxury hotels throughout the Washington, D.C. area. The visit included an overview of the company’s history and time for guests to ask questions and discuss its future.

“We were more than happy to welcome Congressman Ivey and our colleagues from the TRSA,” said Steven Young. “A visit like this helps connect the conversation about business growth to what it takes on the ground—investing in our team, improving our processes and building the capacity to deliver exceptional service every day. We appreciate the chance to share that perspective and talk about Metro Laundry’s plans for growth.”
